The Misery Of The ‘Safe House’

November 9, 2016

Ever thought about the snaps that might actually ‘shook’ the insides of your very own existence? We all know what an asylum or a mental hospital is. Some of us are so human that we even declare the word as the minimal minority of our own origin.

How about a special dreamy trip to the insights of the screams and sorrows of this section of the world? The history is like a vicious web of secrets and untold stories. They say all that glitters isn’t gold and all that the reality shows isn’t real. The life of those doctors, those nurses and most importantly those patients in the asylum is as brutally honest as a mirror.

We think of a mental patient but do we really understand their thought process? Did you ever think about how does it feel to sit at a place, in the same position for the entire day? No moving…no talking, just empty bottles of souls trying to find their ‘pathetic existence’.

Below are some of the most tingling and scrunching vintage asylum photos of the 19th-20th century.
