September 15, 2014

Google never fails to surprise. The advancement this company has made is unquestionably brilliant. Android One is the latest update in its legacy.

Android one in Google’s initiative to provide low budget smartphones with Google’s software support. These devices are meant to give Google a tighter control over the system, so that users get a better Android experience. Google gives its mobile operating system, Android, for free to manufacturers, which can customize it for the sake of differentiation. But, this has made the Android ecosystem highly fragmented. Apple Inc. Chief Executive Tim Cook recently called it a toxic hellstew of vulnerabilities.

It basically means that you can enjoy pure Android experience in tight budget too. For this, Google has tied up with brands like Micromax, Spice and Karbonn. These companies would be responsible for the designing and hardware part while Google will provide its OS in purest form, enabling user to experience native Android.

If pure Android environment doesn’t please you much then the presence of 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM and Dual camera will definitely do. There is only one reason why you won’t buy them – you don’t have a budget constraint. In the sub 7k category, Android One is one hot property.
The fact that these will get latest Android OS update (as they will be having the stock Android version) for sure make them even more desirable for entry level buyers.
