HTC Themes rolling out now!

April 4, 2015

Here is some good news for all the HTC users and fans. In the latest update of HTC Sense Home, HTC Corporation rolled out a new app for themes and a major upgrade for HTC BlinkFeed. BlinkFeed has been integrated with Sense Home along with HTC Themes and Sense Home widget. Users need to check their Play Store and update the HTC Sense Home app to get the new features. This app comes pre-installed in the devices but its updation is done via Play Store.

Going the Xiaomi way, HTC brought a much needed upgrade to its interface which many users claimed to be monotonous and cluttered. Now you don’t need to look for third party apps in search of wallpapers and themes. Cheers to that!! (y)

Here are some screenshots of the theme which we tested on our HTC Desire 816:

As you can see from the screenshots, the home screen wallpaper is now visible in the menu and all app icons got some colorful twist to them. A separate app for themes also pops out in the menu. In the themes app, you got 5 sections : Recommended, Themes, Wallpapers, Icons and Sounds. A user can use any theme from recommended and themes section, download wallpapers or create a custom theme by using DIY feature for icons and sounds of his/her choice. The themes which you will download works best with Sense 7 and Sense 6 users might face some hiccups after the installation. We will recommend rebooting the phone after you apply the theme.

Verdict: You get some pretty cool features to play with, and thanks to HTC, users get a lot more freedom of customization. After all its all about #mychoice nowadays.
