Adobe Acrobat updated
Adobe released the biggest update of the beloved product Acrobat – PDF reader. Adobe Acrobat has now become Adobe Acrobat DC (No, they didn’t tie up with DC comics!) Jokes aside, Acrobat is now way cooler than the previous version – all thanks to the DC integration.
Adobe Acrobat, now in its 12th edition, is called Acrobat DC. DC stands for Document Cloud platform, integrating desktop and mobile apps and services. The aim of Document Cloud is to keep documents and tools closer so that users can work on them from anywhere at any time.
Apart from Document Cloud platform, the new version hosts a lot of other features:
1. Enhanced DC product family integration
To simplify workflows, the Acrobat Document Cloud product family now shares a common user interface with improved service integration across desktop, mobile devices and the cloud. Users can subscribe to the cloud services and enjoy all the features effortlessly.
2. Revamped UI
The UI of Acrobat has undergone some sort of plastic surgery. The new UI is simple, sleek, clean and refreshing. It now boasts a streamlined menu in which you can do more in fewer steps.
3. One button edit
You just need to tap the edit icon for quick editing of the document viz. reordering of pages, delete and rotate pages, undo-redo pages etc.
4. Quick file access
There’s a dedicated button to open documents. The floating action button lets you easily open any local file.
5. Improved Create PDF UI and export PDF UI
There are now multiple ways to accomplish create and export PDF. These options make the two most used tasks a lot easier now.
6. Simple File Browsing
A new Home view enables quick access to files listed under categories – recent, document cloud, creative cloud and outbox. You slide through the various tabs easily
