New Apple TV to debut at WWDC
Buzzfeed has covered the plans of Apple in this respect. According to their post, Apple is intending to launch the device at its annual World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. It is supposed to come preloaded with the App Store and Apple might even provide a software development kit to facilitate the development of apps for the product. Also, Siri might be getting a new device to dwell in.
With a user base of more than 20 million, Apple is among the top players of video streaming player category. However, with the launch of low-priced Google Chromecast, Apple’s market share dropped significantly. The newer version of Apple TV packed with Apple’s app store and other new features will surely fuel Apple’s plan to regain the top position.
In all, the next generation Apple TV looks promising and we may have to wait until the summer to see any product down the production line.
