Windows 10 Launch Date Released
Blame it on a slip of the tongue, but deliberately or not, AMD’s CEO Lisa Su divulged details about the release of the latest edition of Windows, Windows 10, in a recent conference call, a transcript of which was provided by Seeking Alpha.
Lisa Su, while answering questions about the action plan of AMD for this year to Harlan Sur of J.P Morgan, let it slip that AMD would be working much more in the second quarter, as the new operating system from Microsoft will arrive in the third quarter, more specifically, in the later part July.
She said, “With the Windows 10 launch at the end of July, we are watching sort of the impact of that on the back-to-school season, and expect that it might have a bit of a delay to the normal back-to-school season inventory build-up.”
As one of the world’s biggest players in the tech industry, AMD is in a unique position to get advance knowledge of Microsoft’s next big release. Microsoft previously set the official release date of Windows 10 to “sometime this summer”.
If Su is correct, and the new Windows 10 is released in July, there would be an army of new releases like smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops running the latest OS from Microsoft before the year ends.
